Our client is looking for a Java/C developer to join its growing team.
The developer will troubleshoot software issues and help develop
software for a new DOCSIS cable networking platform.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Computer Science with at least
5 years experience in the following:

Required:

- Experience with core Java (Java 8 preferred) and the C programming
language in a Linux environment
- Experience with command line and socket-based programming
- Knowledge of networking protocols including L2/3 switching or
routing
- Experience with database systems such as Oracle
- Ability to work in a team environment with local and remote team
members
- BSc in computer science or software engineering

Assets:

- Broader Telecom knowledge including standards-based routing,
witching, control path/data path, and protocols; applied domain
knowledge of L2/L3 protocols
- Good understanding of embedded real-time applications and RTOS
- Experience with DOCSIS communications and similar protocols
- Experience with the Yocto Linux framework
- Experience with network programming chipsets such as Broadcom,
Cavium
- Experience with message queueing systems like Beanstalk or RabbitMQ
- Experience with defining protocol content using Google Protocol
