SENIOR TEST ENGINEER

MONTREAL SOUTH SHORE; $80-100K, 5 WEEKS VACATION

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Test Engineer to work within an
Agile Development team, validating the delivered work. The person will be a
member of the Integration & Test team.

Responsibilities:

- Validating the product meets the requirements specification.
- Establishing acceptance criteria with the team.
- Validating delivered User Stories and Bug fixes.
- Writing and running Test Cases and Test Plans.
- Writing automation tests.
- Running regression tests to verify functional and system integrity.
- Replication of field issues and supporting the development team to solve them.
- Reporting issues via the bug tracking tool.
- Participating in developing testing strategies.
- Participating in quality and cross-functional process improvement.
- Participating in Agile team meetings.
- Validating production test procedures.
- Leading Team functions for product releases.
- Developing other team members in their system knowledge and test skills.

Requirements:

- Minimum 7 years industry experience as a Test Engineer/Software Test Engineer
working in an Agile Team.
- Have the ability to perform manual testing.
- Thorough knowledge of testing methodologies and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with a quality management and bug tracking tool.
- Knowledge and experience using programming languages (Python, C#/Java)
- Experience writing automation tests.
- Experience with system testing and IP networking.
- Engineering/Computer Science Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Assets:

- Experience using audio test tools.
- Basic scripting experience, preferably with Bash and Python.
- Ability to use several operating systems (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows)
- Experience working with remote teams.
