HARDWARE DESIGNER

As a Hardware Designer, you will be involved in the design, development and
maintenance of different hardware to control instruments for PC in both
Windows and Linux environments. The development tasks can vary from concept
through schematic and PCB design to debugging and test and finally product
release for internal or external customers.


Responsibilities:


- Responsible for analog and digital circuit design per established
requirements.
- Responsible for schematic entry and PCB design per established
development procedures.
- Responsible for debugging electronics and electronic systems down to the
component level as part of product development.
- Responsible for providing support to Production and working in other
departments and/or on miscellaneous assignments as required.
- Responsible for keeping supervisor appraised of all unresolved and/or
potential problems that would negatively affect development and/or
production schedules.
- The position is board level high speed circuit design; although knowledge
of FPGA coding is good to have, the core requirement is experience with
board level FPGA implementation, i.e.: Sch, Layout, Power, Configuration.


Requirements:


- Electronics Engineering Degree with at least 5 years of relevant work
experience.
- Experience with high speed digital and analog circuit and PCB design.
- Experience with high speed interfaces (FPGA, SerDes, DDR, PCIe, etc.)
- Experience with a range of engineering design disciplines and
technologies (Electrical, Software, Firmware, Mechanical, etc.) and be
capable of defining and characterizing product performance metrics and
measures.
- Must possess strong troubleshooting (to component level) and problem
solving skills, strong analog and digital skills.
- Experience using Altium Designer at the schematic and PCB level.
