SENIOR EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

MONTREAL SOUTH SHORE; $100K AND 110K, 5 WEEKS VACATION

Our client is seeking a talented Senior Embedded Software Developer to
complement their highly skilled software development team. The Senior Embedded
Software Developer will work as part of an Agile SCRUM team, designing and
developing new features for the company’s software applications. This will
involve the taking part in release and sprint planning activities, daily team
stand up meeting and collaborative pair development and testing, in partnership
with other engineers in the Software Development team.

Responsibilities:

- Design and development of new products and features, taking ownership of tasks
within the Software Development team where necessary.
- Lead projects internal and/or external to the R&D teams.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team and development team to make
ideas a reality.
- Work with customers, when required, to resolve any urgent issues that they may
be experiencing.
- Play an active role in developing and improving the development process within
the Software Development team.
- Work closely with the SCRUM master and the Software Engineering Manager to
identify deficiencies and improvements in the current development processes.

Requirements:

- 8 or more years of relevant experience
- Bachelor degree in software or engineering
- Passionate, highly motivated, and fun to work with and you care deeply about
delivering a great user experience.
- An excellent team player, with the ability to work closely with many diverse
teams
- Expertise in embedded software development
- Experience in developing on a prototype hardware platform
- Experience in C/C++
- Quality conscious, with a desire to produce clean, maintainable and testable
code
- A pro-active individual, capable of taking the initiative in projects,
actively seeking additional tasks and soliciting new ideas and concepts
- Knowledge in network or wireless protocol development, simulation and
implementation is an asset
