SENIOR EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Our client is currently looking to fill a critical position in order to take on
a number of significant product developments and strengthen its already
prominent position in the market.

You will work as part of an Agile SCRUM team, designing and developing new
features for the company’s software applications. This will involve taking part
in release and sprint planning activities, daily team stand up meeting and
collaborative pair development and testing, in partnership with other engineers
in the software development team.

Responsibilities:

- Design and development of new products and features, taking ownership of tasks
within the software development team where necessary.
- Collaborate with the development team to make ideas a reality.
- Work with customers, when required, to resolve any urgent issues that they may
be experiencing.
- Play an active role in developing and improving the development process within
the software development team.
- Work closely with the SCRUM master and the Software Engineering Manager to
identify deficiencies and improvements in the current development processes.

Requirements:

- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor degree in software or engineering
- Expertise in embedded software development
- Experience in developing on a prototype hardware platform
- Experience in C/C++
- Quality conscious, with a desire to produce clean, maintainable and testable
code.
- A pro-active individual, capable of taking the initiative in projects,
actively seeking additional tasks and soliciting new ideas and concepts.

Assets:

- Knowledge in rendering page designs into web pages, Javascript UI technologies
and web service technologies is an advantage.
