SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The successful candidate has proven experience managing and leading highly
motivated software development teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.
The successful candidate also demonstrates excellent communications skills and a
strong customer orientation. Travel to customer location will be required
occasionally.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing software projects; proven project
management and planning skills and a history of delivering software products on
time and with high quality
- Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and to motivate, direct and
coach staff; ability to manage multi-site teams
- Proven experience developing network communication or security software;
ability to view software from an architectural and system perspective
- Domain knowledge of L2/L3 protocols and various network processors
- Proven experience in software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- BSc in EE/CS/CE or equivalent,
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, and minimum 5 years of
relevant management/leadership experience.

Assets:

- Experience in writing customer proposals
- Good understanding of Object Oriented and embedded software development
- Experience with Cavium or Broadcom chipsets
- Experience with SDN and OpenFlow
- Experience with OpenStack, KVM or other platforms
- Experience with Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)
- Broad telecom experience including switching/routing protocols, control plane,
data plane, media services, cloud infrastructure and security
