TEAM LEADER, SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Reporting to the VP of Product Development, you will design, develop and evolve
end-to-end telematics services used to assess end-users’ behavior. The solutions
are composed of devices, smartphone apps and backend systems. Your server-side
developer background will help you guide the overall system architecture as well
as taking an active part in the development process.

Responsibilities:

- Map detailed business requirements into sound software solutions
- Working with the team, guide the system architecture roadmap, the
specifications and the key technical decision points
- Take a leading role in the system testing and validation
- Ensure feature ease-of-use, ease-of-support, robustness, scalability and
security are always key ingredients to the recommended design solutions
- Actively participate in the software solution development and coding, namely
at the server-side level
- Be the primary interface to the customer technical point of contact
- Take an active role in defining needed resources, timelines, key milestones,
relevant development process and project progress tracking
- Provide 2nd level engineering support to end-users
- Communicate technical issues and/or project details to peers and management
team

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent
- minimum 7 years of professional experience in developing server-side software
services and products that involve embedded wireless devices (control/data
gathering)
- Client-server architecture development
- Microsoft-based development technologies (ASP.NET, IIS, C#, Visual Studio
2008/2010, MSSQL, etc.)

Knowledge in at least one of the following:

- Integration of 24X7 high-availability multi-component telematics services
(embedded wireless device, end-user U/I, backend data analysis and presentation)
- Design of systems using web services (REST, SOAP, XML/JSON)
- Smartphone app development (iOS, Android) or embedded firmware development
- Development experience with telematics sensors and sensors’ data : GPS,
accelerometer, OBD data, generated from specialized equipment or from
smartphones, and with wireless technologies (Bluetooth LE, Bluetooth classic,
cellular, WiFi)
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, preferably in both
French and English (English mandatory)
